Annual paid members are added to the private pickleball or tennis groups (or both) and can book ahead; click "request to join" to reserve your spot.
All sessions created by PLCSA will show "Yes" to the question "Are Courts Reserved" and list which court(s) you are playing on.
You can see the play level (beginner, intermediate, all-levels).
You can view other players in the session & chat.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I view what is available to book?
We use Pickleheads as a court reservation tool and we set-up courts and play sessions in a schedule. Click groups, choose your group (pickleball or tennis), then click "sessions." This will show everything that is scheduled at the Porters Lake PLCSA courts. Click on the session to see more details. FYI - if you view under "courts" it will show everything for pickleball AND tennis.
How do I view the sessions I have booked?
On the website, click the down arrow by your name and choose "my sessions." On the mobile app, click "games." You can filter & sort by status of what you want to see (I uncheck everything except "signed up" & "waitlisted").
Why am I getting so many invites to play?
This is a feature of the Pickleheads scheduling tool. It sends out an invite every time a new session is added to a court you follow, or a group you are a member of. At the PLCSA Porters Lake Courts, new sessions automatically become available 7 days out... so it invites you to each one. You can turn off email and text alerts for these in your profile notifications. You can also uncheck "invited" from your "my sessions" view under "status."
How can I manage emails and texts?
On the website click the down arrow beside your profile picture - my alerts. On mobile click on your photo - notifications.

Why does Pickleheads say it is not a court reservation system?
The Pickleheads scheduler can be used by organizations to schedule play sessions (like we do) AND it can be used by players to organize games with their friends. For this reason, it says that courts may not be guaranteed/reserved. For example, if you use Pickleheads to organize a game at a local HRM court, you are not guaranteed the court will be available when you get there. When you reserve a spot in a session that PLCSA has created at our courts, your spot is guaranteed. Your court # is noted in the session details; your confirmation text from the app is all you need to show that the court (or spot) is reserved for you.
How does the waitlist work?
We limit the number of spots in organized play sessions (12 spots with 2 PB courts, 22 spots with 4 PB courts, 8 spots in tennis mixed doubles, 1 spot per private court reservation). If the spots are full, still request to join & you will be placed on the waitlist. If a spot opens up, you will be added (in order) and receive an email/text message. If you do not plan to attend a session, please "remove" yourself so others can be notified.
How do I book a private pickleball or tennis court?
Look for sessions that only have a spot for 1 player, and for a custom title such as "Tennis Crt 2" or "PB Crt 1a." One annual paid member books the spot & can bring other annual paid members of their choice. Everyone playing during reserved court times MUST be an annual paid member.
Why can't I join a session?
If you have submitted your membership form as an annual paid member, go back to your welcome email and use the invite link to ensure you are a member of the private group on Pickleheads. Once you are in that group, you will see all possible sessions and be able to join them. One other reason might be that you have not given yourself a rating. Some sessions (intermediate for example) require a minimum rating.
